Mothers Day

Mothers Day was yesterday and despite its commercialism and consumer orientated spin, I quite enjoy seeing what my kids have made/done. I do it for the kids as if I had my way, I would not celebrate it as it is too hard a reminder; after over 20 years; of the person who is not about to see my kids and family...my mum.
My kids did the inevitable mothers day stall at school, Mr 4 made something at kinder, 2IC took them out shopping for gifts Saturday at 4.00PM...but only Mr 4 wanted to go along. * SIGH*
I guess its the thought that counts but no one was really thinking LOL
Looking at POST SECRET made for interesting Mothers Day reading and for those who are at odds with their mum..
If you have a mother, treasure her with care, because you'll never know the sorrow of when she isn't there
